POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for purchasing engineering related activities within the region including identifying BUs
critical product characteristics, conducting supplier assessment audits, New Project Development kick off review with
suppliers and BUs, managing NPD parts qualification process, conducting first batch audit and participating supplier
production readiness review, driving supplier continuously quality improvement to meet Crane quality goals for
incumbent purchasing parts, keep eyes open to supplier EHS performance.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· New Project Development kick off review with supplier and BU technology engineer including: DFM, drawing
review, metrology review from raw material, manufacturing process, metrology, packaging, regulation
compliance.
· Lead QA005 assessment audit for overall supplier capability evaluation to support team making effective
sourcing decision. Identifying and helping supplier to solve the critical or major processes non conformances
to meet Crane quality requirement.
· Manage New Project Development, proactively communicate with BU technology and suppliers to solve issues
to hit project milestone.
· Work with suppliers to set up effective manufacturing quality management system including PFMEA, process
flow chart, critical process characteristics, and control plan implementation in timely manner.
· Train suppliers to properly understand and execute Crane Engineering specification, PVP/SPPAP approval
process.
· Validate suppliers First Article including verifying tooling (as applicable), identifying and solving specifications
deviations, documentation and following BUs approval progress.
· Ensure mass production ramp up by leading production readiness review, first batch audit to identify, track,
and solve issues in earlier production stage.
· Drive supplier incumbent production continuously quality performance improve by monitoring, regular control
plan audit, identifying risk and solving issue and ensuring corrective actions implemented.
· CPI consigns part quality issue following up and defect part return to vendor.
SKILLS REQUIRED
· Engineer background with complex assembly or electrical commodity manufacturing experience.
· Excellent English, good communication skills, good team work spirit.
·Qualified internal auditor of ISO9000, AS9100 or TS16949 preferred
· Excellent quality problem solving capability
· Excellent coordination skill with multi parts to settle issues together effectively.
· Familiar with quality tools e.g. SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
· Excellent computer and analytical skills are required.
· Goal oriented individual with project management skills.
· Willingness to travel including extended stays in supplier location.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· BS degree or equivalent in engineering
· 5+ years’ work experience as SQE in multinational companies
· Rich experience in supplier quality management.
· Excellent English communication skill.
· Excellent coordination skill and team work spirit.
